Why use Leaf Luggers?

The concept for Leaf Luggers was conceived in 2025 when the City of Raleigh decided to change how they pick up leaves in the fall. The city had been picking up loose leaves for 50+ years at the curbside. To say that residents are conditioned to dispose of their leaves this way is an understatement. Raleigh has long been known as the City of Oaks for good reason! Raleigh has a lot of trees! Not all residents have the space or natural areas to put their leaves in and the city typically could not pick the leaves up in a timely manner. Leaf Luggers goal is to pick your leaves up curbside in a timely and efficient manner to prevent them from killing your grass from sitting too long, blowing around your yard and neighborhood, and keeping the streets clear and safe for travel and parking. Leaf Luggers also thinks you have better things you would like to do with your time than stuff leaves in a bin or fill paper bags every week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Leaf Luggers does not rake or blow leaves for clients. We do have referrals for people that will do that! Just inquire.

Leaf Luggers charges by the length (linear feet) of the pile. The current rate is $4.00 per foot. Piles wider than 4.5 feet will incur an additional .50 per foot or part thereof.

Weather can affect our ability to pick up your leaves AND to unload the truck. If they are Frozen or Icey/Snowy, or there has been too much rain to be able to get into our dump/recycling facilities we may not be able to pick up your leaves as scheduled. We will contact you to reschedule your pick up.

If there are items other than leaves or pine straw mixed in with the leaves, it could cause your leaf pile to be rejected. Limbs, sticks, rocks, trash, bottles, rocks, etc..can cause damage to our equipment.

If we are unable to access the leaves due to cars, trucks, trailers, trash cans or if the leaves are located too far from the back of curb (our reach is 10 feet).

There is a cancellation policy that is clearly spelled out in the “Terms of Service”.
